Recently, our team began providing formwork for one of the ACT’s most high-profile developments, Aspen Village.
What is Aspen Village?
Aspen Village is a new mixed-use town centre featuring modern luxury apartments surrounded by Canberra’s unspoilt natural landscape. The development boasts a 2,200 m² rooftop entertaining space, a heated infinity-edge pool, BBQ facilities, a retail precinct, spa rooms, a concierge, car wash facilities, and more.
Formwork on Aspen Village – June 2021
The team commenced formwork on the project in mid-2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the pandemic was ongoing, the team operated in full compliance with all safety protocols, successfully completing the formwork for the lower levels of Aspen Village.
Formwork on Aspen Village – August 2021
Two months after completing the lower-level formwork and dismantling structures, the team began installing formwork for the upper levels. The project was led by a management team with more than 120 years of combined industry experience, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision.
Although COVID-19 presented challenges, the team’s dedication and collaboration ensured progress continued on schedule. Through their strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, the formwork for the upper levels was successfully installed.
Formwork on Aspen Village – December 2021
By December 2021, Aspen Village had entered its final stages from a formwork perspective. The upper levels had been installed and dismantled, and the final levels were in progress. As shown below, the team installed the slabs and remained well on track to finalise the formwork for the project.
Summary
Aspen Village is due for completion in 2022, with many apartments already sold. The project demanded strong teamwork, adaptability, and focus throughout the challenges of COVID-19. By working together, the Future Form team completed all required tasks on schedule, maintaining the high standards that define every Future Form project.
