About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Surveyor to be part of our growing Surveying team that will work across multiple projects in NSW and the ACT. The projects will range from high rise construction to civil infrastructure. The role will entail conducting surveys and ensuring a high level of precision surveys are carried out.

Duties Include (but are not limited to) 

  • Conducting daily surveys including set out and as-builts
  • Recording data and reporting
  • Check as-builts against the design
  • Calculation of data and uploading and updating drawings
  • Liaison with Engineers and clients
  • Reading of plans & sketches
  • Liaising between the site and the office
  • Fieldwork

About you

The successful candidate should:

  • Preference for a bachelor’s degree in surveying, or a diploma from Tafe
  • Have at least 5-7 years’ full-time experience in construction set out.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Experienced in Trimble Total stations, GPS and Leica Survey equipment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and also a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to deliver time critical projects within timeframes
  • Excellent organisation and management of workflow
  • Be able to adhere to company QA procedures and company policies.
  • Have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • You must have a Drivers Licence and vehicle

Project Engineer

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Construction Manager or his delegate you will primarily be responsible for co-leading or assisting alongside the Project Manager. The Project Engineer will provide technical considerations within a project. As well as office-based time, a project engineer will also spend a significant amount of time ‘on site’ at the project. 

Together with the technical considerations you will be required to administer established contracts and approved procedures to achieve delivery of contractual obligations to agreed standards. 

The role will require you to also prepare, negotiate and review various company contracts, including purchases, sales and business partnerships.  

Responsibilities included in this role: 

  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
  • Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
  • Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme
  • Planning and forecasting of the Projects in Job Pac 
  • Planning and forecasting of Revenue and Expenditure of the project 
  • Overall technical co-ordination of the construction process including claims, quotes, variations, negotiations, rollovers, retention
  • liaising with contractors, suppliers and internal company stakeholders 
  • Interpret designs for implementation and contribute to improvements 
  • Execute working knowledge of contractual obligations & legislation relevant to the project
  • Managing the Quality Assurance systems alongside the Project Manager and Site Manager.  
  • Manage performance of teams & subcontractors to achieve project outcomes
  • Ensuring that all site works are carried out in accordance with the current documentation, and the contract Scope of Works. 
  • Supporting the WHS Manager in dealing with incident & accident reporting. 
  • Upkeep of records management system . 
  • Documenting site progress by taking daily photographs for site records, completing daily diaries, QA records, progress measures to incorporate in the monthly reports. 
  • Other duties as directed by the Project Manager/Site Manager for future responsibilities. 
  • Promoting and developing a strong safety culture. 
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Future Form policies, processes, systems, reporting and procedures.
  • Willingness to work Saturdays.  


About you

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent 
  • Diploma of Project Management in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent
  • More than 3 years’ Construction experience
  • You will be a fantastic communicator and able to build rapport across all levels of stakeholders
  • You have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • You must have a Drivers Licence and vehicle

HSR, Work Health & Safety Coordinator

About Your Role 

A key part of your goal is to aid the WHSE Manager with meeting legal compliance, implementation of safety management systems (principal contractor, legal & internal policies & procedures), builder requirements, daily checks & assessments and following up and closing out of safety issues. However, we are looking for someone that shows initiative, is passionate about safety in construction and loves going to work every day. 

Reporting to the WHSE Manager, your main responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing WHS documents, and assisting site management with filling out all applicable paperwork
  • Documenting, archiving, and ensuring all documents are in place for set audits from the WHSE manager.
  • Assess and provide recommendations on how to rectify safety issues that will affect the health and safety of our workers
  • Conduct daily site inspections 
  • Implementation and compliance of company policies and procedures
  • Implementation and compliance of principal contractor policies and procedures
  • Hands on safety work may be required or the organising of such

Requirements and Experience

  • Previous experience in a construction safety officer role 
  • Previous experience on a construction site with Tier 1 Builders & building sites 
  • Certificate 4 in WHS as a minimum 
  • Good understanding of latest OH&S regulations 
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Experience implementing and driving change to continually enhance and improve delivery
  • Proficient in desktop applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The Role:

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to –

  • Handling all administrative requests, both internal and external
  • Correspondence preparation for management
  • Meeting and calendar management
  • Prepare Agendas

This role is a Full-time role, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm and it’s based in Austral (no city traffic!) with free onsite parking!
